How 360° Aerial Imaging is Transforming Historic Building Inspections

Here at Etcha we are doing trials with a DJI Avata 360. We are finding that this method transforms Historic and Listed Building Roof Inspections into a seamless, high resolution experience. From a single, efficient flight path, we can capture an entire architectural landscape simultaneously.

Traditional fixed-perspective cameras risk overlooking subtle flaws, but immersive 360° data captured ensures no detail is missed.

During post-flight analysis, DJI software allows us to virtually re-fly the route, panning and zooming to scrutinise hidden structural defects, deteriorating masonry, or slipped tiles from any angle. This professional, non-invasive methodology drastically reduces flight times while delivering exhaustive, unparalleled oversight for heritage conservation.
